OBAMA- I have a dream I'am the dream

Two great miracles have unfolded during my lifetime:

  • Barack Obama, a Black man and the 44th President of the United States of America, was re-elected to the most prestigious, honorable, and highest position in the nation; and
  • On Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s holiday, a day we desperately fought for, marks the date that President Obama will publicly take his oath of office.

I never thought, along with every Black person I know, we would witness firsthand such a riveting event and an affirmation of Dr. King’s dream. It’s a refreshing sequel. Read the rest of this entry »

Inauguration Countdown Continues – The Impressive and Captivating Michelle Obama

There is unequivocally no question that Michelle Obama, the first African-American First Lady of our great nation, is an outstanding role model. She is the epitome of what a lady symbolizes — elegance, sophistication, charisma, style, success, and intelligence. Every young girl and woman would be proud and honored to emulate the First Lady.

Countdown to 2013 Inauguration

I feel more bubbly than a bottle of fine champagne. You don’t even have to shake me up to pop the cork. How many adjectives and nouns in the English language can adequately give description to this affectionate husband, wonderful father, dog lover, and one hell of a President — the first-ever, African-American man to be elected not only once (365 electoral votes to McCain’s 173) but twice (332 electoral votes to Romney’s 206) to the highest position in this great nation?
